Letters About the Cancelled 2007 Production
Sorry to hear about your problems with the production of Henry VI. I've attended every one of your productions since 1980 and always thoroughly enjoy my evenings watching the Clumber Players. I shall miss seeing you all this year but I hope all goes well for next year and I look forward to seeing you then.

It was with great disappointment that I received your letter regarding the cancellation of Henry VI. Having been an avid viewer of your wonderful productions since 1988 I know that the Clumber Players would not have taken this decision lightly.

I was sorry to hear of the problems you have experienced amongst the cast and would like to pass on wishes for a speedy recovery to all those who have been ill. I do hope a summer of rest will be a great help. Your productions are a highlight of our summers and we look forward to "The Taming of the Shrew" next year.

We're sorry to hear that, owing to health problems amongst your cast and other unforseen circumstances, this year's production of "Henry IV Part 1" has had to be cancelled. Thank you for our refund: however, we are returning the cheque as we should like to use the money as a small donation to the work of Clumber Players. We look forward to next year's production of "The Taming of the Shrew".

Letters About the Richard III (2006) Production
Thank you very much. It was a lovely performance and we had a wonderful time.

Fantastic evening. Brilliant. Thank you and congratulations to everybody. We will certainly come again.

I thought I'd write to let you know how much I and my friends enjoyed your production of Richard III - it was fantastic! You must have all worked so hard to have performed so well. It was a memorable evening.

Just wanted to say thank you for an entralling night's entertainment. There are many strong actors in the cast. It was good to see so many youngsters involved.

The Rest of Your Feedback
Caroline Stuckey of Bangkok writes:
I had strong connections with the Clumber Players as a child and I would like to say how fantastic it is to see that the Clumber Players are still performing, going strong and keeping the works of Shakespeare alive. I never trod the boards of that great stage you have but I spent many an hour helping my dad on the set in the park. I still recognise many of your members, particularly those who were also in the Lindrick and Blyth Players, where I performed in panto and the odd farce. Over time, names fade and some become forgotten, but your website has reminded me of some wonderful memories. To the Players of Clumber, may your passion and enthusiasm continue to thrive.

John Keen of Doncaster writes:
My many thanks to you all for a wonderful way of introducing me to live Shakespeare plays.

Steve Henshall of Merseyside writes:
Watched the opening performance - what a night! Absolutely fantastic show, the night was balmy and warm, the setting perfect. Congratulations to all involved. Do we really have to wait a whole year for the next production?

John Pilkington of Worksop writes:
It's now the final week of the play, hope everyone is enjoying the atmosphere as much as I am! Aren't the costumes brilliant once again.

Paul Turner-Johnson of Yorkshire writes:
Couldn't read for the production this year but hope everyone enjoys it as much as i have for last three years ! i will look forward to coming to see it.

Gina of Nottinghamshire writes:
Hello! I really enjoyed my first performance for the Clumber Player and the costume for Hymen was ace!! Well Done to everyone who helped in the production of As You Like It and thankyou to everyone for making my first performance so enjoyable!

James Webb of Nottinghamshire writes:
Saw the play last night, well done to all cast and vrew, an exemplarary production. Trudi and Alison's interactions was sparkling, Bob lit up the stage with his "Touchstone", Derek's shepherd hooked me. It was a real eye-opener seeing the production from the auditorium and not from the stage, I finally grasp why people come year after year. Well done one and all.

Trudi Jackson of Nottinghamshire writes:
Well done everyone one on making our 2005 production of As You Like It a real winner! Thanks Gill, 'i'll go find a shadow and sigh' till next year! Great web site!
