Abigail made her Clumber debut in the 2005 production of As You Like It and returned to Clumber Players for the 2006 production of Richard III. Abigail continues to perform with the Young Theatre and sings with the 11th Session Choir which she attends every Saturday morning. |

AEDDAN LOCKETT
Aeddan made his debut appearance for Clumber Players in the 2005 production of As You Like It before returning to the Clumber stage for the 2006 production of Richard III. In addition to Shakespeare, Aeddan also takes part in a panto at Beauchief Tennis Club each year and he also plays guitar. One extreme to another! |

ALAN SELBY
The 2004 production of Hamlet was Alan's second outing with the Clumber Players, having played numerous 'bit' parts in Julius Caesar in 2003. A member of the Retford Little Theatre and the Lantern Theatre Group in Sheffield, Alan has played Mick in The Caretaker, Richard in The Lion in Winter, Tom in The Glass Menagerie, and many other parts 'too forgettable to remember'. |

ALISON BETTRIDGE
A founder member of the Clumber Players, Alison has notched up numerous appearances on the Clumber stage including Celia in As You like It, Viola in The Merchant of Venice, and parts in King Lear and Julius Caesar. Alison is also a member of the Retford Little Theatre and has appeared in Dial M for Murder, Blood Money and Double Double to name but a few. |

ANGIE CHESTERS
Having been absent from the Clumber stage for a few years (although she has been invloved behind the scenes), Angie looked forward to "treading the slabs again" albeit as yet another "brazen hussy" in the 2005 production of As You Like It. When she's not working, Angie likes to go on holiday, collect handbags and shoes, eat banoffee pie and drink Jack Daniels! |

BARRY NICHOLLS
Barry first joined Clumber Players for Twelfth Night in 2000 and has been involved every year since (it's addictive you know!). He has made appearances for Retford Little Theatre and the Dukeries Theatre Group. |

BEETIE GOODHEW
A Performing Arts student, Beetie's first foray into Shakespeare was in the Clumber Players 2004 production of Hamlet. He has performed a variety of roles for several local theatre groups and recently received excellent reviews for his portrayal of the philandering landlord Gosforth for the Dukeries Theatre Group's production of Ayckbourn's Confusions. |

BEN HUNT
Ben made his debut on the Clumber stage in the 2006 production of Richard III. Ben's favourite subject at school is Science, whilst his least favourite is Maths! As well as acting, Ben also enjoys making things, gardening and cooking things, especially cakes and buns. |

BETH STUCKEY
Beth made her Clumber stage debut in our 2005 production of As You Like It and returned to the stage in the 2006 production of Richard III. Another founder member of the Clumber Players (and also the Lindrick Players), Brian's list of previous roles is endless and includes Shylock in The Merchant of Venice, Don Juan in Much Ado About Nothing, and Captain Brazen in The Recruiting Officer to name but a few. |

CAROLE TOMLINSON
Carole made a welcome return to the Clumber stage in the 2001 production of A Man For All Seasons. A member of various theatre groups including the Dukeries Theatre Group, Carole says here favourite roles are Lady Julia Merton in Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, Queen Evilina in Snow White, and Mistress Overdone in Measure for Measure. She has especially enjoyed these roles because they are pretty nasty characters! |

CHRIS HIND
In addition to Clumber Players, Chris has made appearances for Dinnington Operatics as Kips in Half a Sixpence and Worksop Operatics as Bobby Child in Crazy for You, a demanding role which required a considerable amount of dancing skills. Chris graduated in 2000 with a degree in theatre studies and dance technique. |

Chris made his debut performance for the Clumber Players in the 1998 production of King Lear. Previously, Chris has appeared in Lindrick Players pantomimes starting at age 7. Chris has played one of the babes in Babes in the Wood and Buttons in Cinderella. |

CHRIS SANDERS
Chris made his Clumber debut in the 2006 production of Richard III. He has made several appearances in school productions including Half a Sixpence, Pirates of Penzance, and as Squire Trelawney in Treasure Island. Chris also enjoys tennis, football, and is a keen Leicester City supporter (well someone has to be!) |

CIARAN LOCKETT
Ciaran took to the Clumber stage for his debut performance in the 2006 production of Richard III, although his little brother and his dad have made several appearances between them. His theatrical experience started as an extra doing just a stand in part but ending up with a speaking part. |

CLANCY WALKER
Clancy made her Clumber stage debut in the 1998 production of King Lear whilst taking a year out from her university studies. A member of the Dukeries Theatre Group, Clancy played Mel in their autumn 1997 production of Shakers. Other stage credits include Frenchie in Grease and Julie's mum in the Valley Schools original production of Harry. |

CORDELIA MAUGHAN
A newcomer to the Clumber stage in the 2000 production of Twelfth Night, Cordelia's previous roles include Polly Brown in The Boyfriend and Elsie Maynard in Gilbert & Sullivan's Yeoman of the Guard. A member of the West Bridgford Operatic Society and Trent Opera, Practise Nurse Cordelia also enjoys horseriding and chocolate! |

DAVID DENWOOD
After missing the 2005 production of As You Like It due to illness, David is back enjoying his love of Shakespeare in another "kingly" role in the 2006 production of Richard III. In the time since his last appearance with the Clumber Players, David has taken part in a "5 continents I.T. live link-up show and demonstrations" and has played in two low budget film productions. |

DAVID LARDER
David is new to Worksop and the Clumber Players. His first ever Shakespearian role was at the age of 15 as Shylock. David has trained with the Bristol Old Vic and his career has included professional and quality amateur dramatic work. His most recent TV appearance was as a trial judge in Sky One's Dream Team (January 2004). |

DAVID LINTIN
Making his Clumber debut in the 2006 production of Richard III, we are delighted to welcome David to the fold. He has recently appeared as a mad chef in Retford Little Theatre's production of Don't Dress for Dinner. David has also played a panto dame for Lindsay Rural Players and has appeared at Stamford in Macbeth and The Merry Wives of Windsor. He says he's the original Martini player because he'll go "anytime, any place anywhere". |

David enjoys taking part in school productions and has appeared in Half a Sixpence which he says he "really enjoyed", and he has also appeared as Long John Silver in Treasure Island. DAVID WARD
Another veteran of the Clumber stage, Dave returned to the Clumber stage for the 2006 production of Richard III. Dave also like to get stuck into set building as well as acting and is a member of the Dukeries Theatre Group. In his spare time, Dave likes to spend time in his garden and playing his favourite role of Grandad! |

DEBRA TUCKETT
Talking about her role in Hamlet (2004) Debra says she has read Hamlet many times and seen it performed on stage on numerous occasions, but still manages to be inspired and moved by different aspects. When Debra is not busy at work she enjoys reading and is working on a novel which is set on 1942 and tells the story of Italian POW in Scotland. |

DEREK GREEN
Since appearing as Corin in the 2005 production of As You Like It, Derek has appeared for the Dukeries Theatre Group playing the much maligned Stanley in Caught in the Net, where he was chased by a mad woman brandishing a carving knife! As well as theatricals, Derek is taking exams in sign language and is learning Haiku poetry. |

FRANK STAMP
Frank returned to the Clumber stage in the 2005 production of As You Like It. A founder member of the Clumber Players, Frank is also a member of the Retford Little Theatre and he has appeared in such shows as Brassed Off, Sleuth, Bouncers and Abigail's Party. He has toured briefly in Bouncers with Attitude Productions, and In his spare time Frank enjoys eating, drinking, walking, gardening and scuba diving. |

GAIL BELSHAW
A talented lady indeed, Gail's previous roles for the Clumber Players include Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and Alice More in A Man For All Seasons. Gail is also a member of the Phoenix Theatre Company and made her directing debut in 2004 for their production of Oliver. In her spare time, Gail enjoys gardening. |

GILLY CALLABY
Another lady who often appears as a "posh frock", Gilly returned to the Clumber stage showing her talent as an actress in the 2006 production of Richard III. Gilly seems to have an abundance of energy and is a member of the Worksop Society of Artists. Gilly's other pasttimes include digital photography, archery, her garden and fund-raising for the Acorn Theatre project. |

GINA HARPER
The 2005 production of As You Like It was Gina's acting debut for the Clumber Players. Gina says she finds "Shakespearean language a little confusing", but overall she's finding it an enjoyable experience and finds it all easier to understand as the story unfolds on the stage. When she's not attending school or rehearsals, Gina likes to draw and attend St John Cadets. |

GREG CHESTERS
Greg joined the Players at the age of eight, his most recent appearance being Sir William Catesby in the 2006 production of Richard III. He is a member of Stagecoach and Take 2 Theatre schools. As well as acting, Greg also enjoys music and plays sax for the Notts County Education Concert Band, and he has recently completed his grade III clarinet exam. |

IAN GRANT
Ian certainly gets about a bit and has had successes both as actor and director for various local theatre groups including the Dukeries Theatre Group and the Retford Little Theatre, and has even had walk on parts in the TV series Peak Practice. Away from theatricals, Ian enjoys his kids, Formula 1 racing, beer, food and sleep. |

JAMES STANLEY
The Clumber Players 2004 production of Hamlet was James' first time on the Clumber slabs. Although only 17 when he took to the Clumber stage, James has played a variety of parts from Danny in Grease and Jean Valjean in Les Miserables for Valley School to Bunny in The Mask of Moriarty and a cuckolded Scoutmaster in Confusions for the Dukeries Theatre Group. |

JAMES WEBB
James is a teacher and therefore enjoys the holidays very much. He says that he asked Gill Wenger for a small part in the 2006 production of Richard III because of his wedding plans - she duly obliged and gave him two! He describes the two parts as "two contrasting characters in that one is a murderer for hire while the other is a higher echelon killer but a bit posher". |

JONATHAN DIXON
Jonathan has a great love of theatre and made his debut performance for the Clumber Players in the 1998 production of King Lear. Jonathan has a B.A. degree in Drama, and his past credits include Spring Awakening when he took the part of Headmaster Sunstroke. |

JONATHAN PAULGER
Jonathan has made approx. 23 appearances for the Clumber Players and returned to the Clumber stage in the 2006 produciton of Richard III. Jonathan also makes regular appearances for Dinnington Operatics appearing in Carousel, and he has also appeared in South Pacific for Retford Operatics at the Majestic Theatre. |

LAURA HALL
Laura made her debut for the Clumber Players in 1999 as a fairy in Midsummer Night's Dream, and sadly Laura's appearance in Hamlet (2004) will probably be her last as she heads off to London to study drama. In addition to her acting talents, Laura also has a wonderful singing voice and is an accomplished flautist, regularly playing for the Notts County Orchestra. |

LAURIE GOY
Previously a prolific member of both the Clumber Players and the Dukeries Theatre Group, Laurie says he was on sabbatical for eight years before returning to the Clumber stage for the 2002 production of Much Ado About Nothing. Laurie's interests away from the stage include art, modelling, building gadgets and drinking. |

LAURIE HALL
Like the proverbial bad penny, "old" (his words) Laurie turned up again in the 2000 production of Twelfth Night, this time in the role of a drunken lecher which was obviously well researched and which, according to Laurie, "calls for acting of a high order". When not on stage for the Clumber Players or the Everton Village Players, Laurie also enjoys reading, cooking and skiing (slowly!). |

LES BLACKSHAW

LIAM KEY
Liam made his first appearance on the Clumber stage in the 1999 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and returned for the 2006 production of Richard III. Liam enjoys reading and writing, espcially science-fiction. He considers himself a bit of a philosopher because he like to "sit around on his butt, thinking!" |

LIZ JOHNSON
The 1998 production of King Lear was Liz's first appearance for the Clumber Players. A director and actress for Gringley Players, Liz has directed numerous plays for the Retford Little Theatre including The Cracked Pot, Pocket Dream and Time of My Life, and has appeared naked in Liaisons Dangereuses. |

LUKE NICHOLSON
A student at Portland School, Luke is another who has been bitten by the acting bug. He made his first appearance for the Clumber Players in the 2002 production of Much Ado About Nothing and has since appeared as Doodles in Portland's production of Bugsy and in the Dukeries Theatre Group's production of Our Day Out. |

MALCOLM JONES
In recent years, Malcolm has appeared as Metallus and Titinius in the 2003 production of Julius Caesar and as the manipulative Borachio in the 2002 production of Much Ado About Nothing. Malcolm has appeared on stage for several groups in a variety of productions, with Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady and Inspector Goole in An Inspector Calls being amongst his favourite. Malcolm sadly passed away in May 2007. |

MARGARET NIXON
Margaret enjoys all Shakespeare's plays and her previous roles include Portia in The Merchant of Venice, and Lady Macbeth. Not surprisingly, Margaret lists one of her hobbies as Shakespeare in text and performance. Worryingly, she also lists pogo-stick racing and bee-keeping! |

MARK PULLMAN
Mark joined the Lindrick Players in 1990 and was a member of the Village Players at Everton throughout the 1980s, and has been musical director for numerous pantomimes with both of these societies. When not working for a music publisher, Mark enjoys good food and wine, railways, and walking in lakeland. Mark would be happiest at driving a steam locomotive but has to make do with tickling the ivories! |

MIKE NIXON
A warm welcome to the Clumber stage for Mike in the 2003 production of Julius Caesar in which Mike played the parts of Trebonius and Lucilius. Mike also appeared in the 1998 production of King Lear. Mike says he enjoyed playing the parts because "they are not too wordy for Shakespeare". In his spare time, Mike enjoys photography. |

NAOMI WHYBRAY
Naomi made her debut performance in the 1994 production of The Rivals. She has also appeared as Cordelia in the 1998 production of King Lear. Naomi is no stanger to the stage having studied Drama and English at Hull University, and other stage credits include performances with Riding Lights and the Dukeries Theatre Group. |

NEIL NEWELL
Neil joined the Clumber Players in 2000 for the production of Twelfth Night and followed in up in the 2001 production of A Man For All Seasons, in which his favourite part is the scene where Rich is playing with fire. When he's not studying Performing Arts, Neil enjoys art, singing and basketball. |

OLIVER HULME
Oliver made his Clumber debut in the 2005 production of As You Like It. Oliver has only recently moved to Worksop, having lived previously in the "ghettos of Groombridge in East Sussex". Oliver's favourite role was the drunken scout leader in Ayckbourne's Confusions. Oliver accepted the role of Orlando in As You Like It mistakenly believing it would give him the chance to kiss girls! |

PAT THOMAS
Pat has been involved with amateur dramatics for over 50 years and returned to the Clumber stage for the 2006 production of Richard III. A founder member of the Clumber Players, Pat is also a member of the Dukeries Theatre Group and Lindrick Players. As well as acting, Pat has directed The Rivals and She Stoops to Conquer. Our regular patrons will also recognise her as the voice on the phone who organises the bookings. |

PAULA WESTWOOD
Another newcomer to the 2000 production of Twelfth Night, teacher Paula says she was keen to play Olivia because she likes "her strength of character and the fact that she never forgets she's a woman with feminine wiles and a great deal of untapped passion". A member of the West Bridgford Operatic Society and Opera Solstice, Paula doesn't have much spare time as it is all taken with rehearsals. |

PAUL TURNER-JOHNSON
Having enjoyed playing Mark Antony in Julius Caesar in 2003, Paul welcomed the challenge of Claudius in his second attempt at 'Shaky' with the Clumber Players. Paul is a member of the Lantern Theatre Group in Sheffield and the Retford Little Theatre. He says that living in Sheffield is ideal for running, cycling and rock climbing. |

PETER BURTON
Peter enjoyed As You Like It, our 2005 production, for its vitality and charm, and the challenge of playing two brothers with such opposing personalities. Over the years, Pete has performed with several local groups and his favourite parts include Malvolio, Oberon and Angelo in Shakespeare , and Danforth, Gerry Stratton and Lord Arthur Savile in other plays. |

Peter is another stalwart of local theatre and can regularly be found with Worksop Light Operatics or occasionally the Dukeries Theatre Group. Peter has appeared for the Clumber Players as Curan in King Lear, Landlord in She Stoops to Conquer and a gentleman in Measure for Measure. |

RACHEL MEE
Rachel enjoyed playing the part of Ophelia in the Clumber Players 2004 production of Hamlet. She says it was challenging to portray the grief and insanity that Ophelia experiences. Rachel's previous roles include Abigail in The Crucible for Retford Little Theatre, Lucy in The Rivals for Doncaster Little Theatre and Catherine in The Heiress for Gringley 100 Players. |

RACHEL UDALL
Making her first appearance on stage in Hamlet (2004) since university, Rachel definitely prefers acting to studying. She says that Shakespeare's use of the servants to reveal the rudiments of Claudius' plans is intriguing. Rachel has enjoyed the experience which has given her the opportunity to meet new people and she says it relieves the stress of her teaching career. |

RAY PEARSON
Ray made his debut performance for Clumber Players in the 1998 production of King Lear. Ray has also appeared on stage for the Retford Little Theatre, Doncaster Thespians and Retford Operatic Society. Ray finds himself at home with Northern comedies and has enjoyed parts in Last Tango in Whitby, Our Day Out, and has appeared as Merlin in the Doncaster Thespians production of Camelot. |

Ray is no stranger to Clumber Players or Shakespeare having completed an OU Degree in the Bard himself. Ray is an experienced actor/director with the Retford Little Theatre and Everton Village Players, and in the past has directed The Dresser, Billy Liar and Twelfth Night. Clumber acting credits include Leontes in Winter's Tale, Hortensio in Taming of the Shrew and Gentleman in King Lear. |

Whilst Rebecca makes her debut Clumber performance in the 2006 production of Richard III, she's no stranger to "treading the boards". Becca has been making appearances since she was 6 years old, including pantos and musicals. Another newcomer to the Clumber stage for the 2002 production of Much Ado About Nothing, Rebecca has performed a diverse range of roles from God to Sweeny Todd (the mind boggles!) in various groups, and in recent times has helped backstage for the Dukeries Theatre Group. When she's not working as a taste tester for Walkers Crisps Rebeccas likes cooking, skiing and sailing. |

RHYS BETHELL
A newcomer to the Clumber stage for the 2003 production of Julius Caesar, Rhys enjoys Shakespeare, particularly the experience of playing both Octavius and Servant to Caesar. A member of the Retford Little Theatre, Rhys has played King Phillip of France in The Lion in Winter and Edmund in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. His other hobbies include playing the guitar and piano. |

RICHARD STANLEY
Richard's first appearance for the Clumber Players was in the 2004 production of Hamlet. He is a member of the Dukeries Theatre Group having played Reilly in Our Day Out, a suicidal manic depressive in Habeas Corpus and Martin in Confusions. He has appeared in several productions for Valley School including their recent one Showstoppers which was directed by his brother James. |

A newcomer to the Clumber stage for the 2002 production of Much Ado About Nothing, Richard enjoys open air Shakespeare. Richard has previously played Shylock in The Merchant of Venice and 1st Voice in Under Milkwood. When he's not on stage, Richard enjoys football, following Reading FC, . He also enjoys being a dad, golf, karate and kickboxing. |

ROBERT WALKER
Previously seen on the Clumber stage in the 1980 production of As You Like It, Robert makes a welcome return for the 2000 production of Twelfth Night, in which he plays the part of Feste, a character that is "a bit mysterious and rather sad". Among Roberts favourite plays are The Weekend, Oh What A Lovely War and King Lear. Robert is a County Councillor and he lists his hobbies as Politics and growing vegetables. |

ROGER WESTWOOD
Roger's predilection for evil characters emerges yet again with his portrayal as Richard in the 2006 production of Richard III. Some of you may recall a similar performance of his as Macbeth back in 1993. Even in King Lear he managed to gouge the eyes of Gloucester (two large juicy grapes really). Roger's appetite for the part of Richard was wetted when he played Buckingham at Retford Little Theatre. |

STEVE BELSHAW
Steve first came along with his wife Gail in 2000 and was at the time in a supporting role off-stage. However, he took to the Clumber slabs with the Players in the 2002 production of Much Ado About Nothing and has been appearing ever since. 2006 saw Steve on stage once again in Richard III. A member of several other theatre groups, Steve enjoys performing a variety of theatrical genres, including Daddy Warbucks in Annie. |

TONY MINGHAM
Tony makes his fifth appearance on the Clumber stage in the 2006 production of Richard III. Tony is a teacher of French and Drama at Ranby House School where they hold three major productions a year. TRUDI JACKSON
Since playing the part of Rosalind in the 2005 production of As You Like It, Trudi has appeared as Barbara in Caught in the Net for the Dukeries Theatre Group. Trudi has played many of Shakespeare's strong ladies including Jessica in The Merchant of Venice, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Queen Gertrude in Hamlet. |
